To all the dads beyond this "infinitesimal corner of the universe":
You have an underappreciated if not thankless role in this day and age. I think you realize at times society dismisses you as being irrelevant now. That is the furthest thing from the truth.
You teach the meaning of strength and courage. You show how to be disciplined and properly use power and authority. You demonstrate what true self-reliance and independence are. All in your words and deeds.
For all that, you have my deepest admiration. I salute you.
