Passionless Sermons

Archbishop Wilton Gregory, the former head of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, told a meeting of the world's bishops that Catholics increasingly expect better homilies from priests at Sunday Mass.

"Ritual precision alone will not bring back those who do not attend Sunday Mass," he said. (Source.)
I want to be fed in both Word and Sacrament. Yes, I need to do my part in being properly docile. That means I have to be catechised. I can do much on my own, but the first place to look and hear is the ambo. Both doctrinal and pastoral applications, please.
